the last week of the term see Nicholas and his team of Y5 friends running the health week. on wed the principal led the whole school to eat an apple during the morning assembly. many of the students did not seem to appreciate the apple, a number of them took a few small bites and threw it away, such a lot of wastage. But i must say i am impressed by Nicholas who took the initiative to get the project going. in addition most students and teachers failed in their anti oxidant test. this shows that many of us have rather unhealthy diet and lack of exercise.
last day of school was very hectic for most teachers, trying to get the report slips out, spring cleaning and trying to get as much info out for holiday programmes. the csc were selling ice cream to raise funds for their yunnan project, as the timetable was rather packed we were unable to sell during recesses. the freezer was to be taken away on sat morning, i resorted to giving free ice-creams to clear the stock. the art-club members, csc members, admin staff and anyone who happened to walk past. it was really amazing how happy everyone was just eating a free ice cream cone.

this is the last night of the level camp, after 3 fun filled days of enrichment activities the sec 1 pupils are rather worn out. i was on night duty from 1 to 2 am. most of the girls are sleeping but there are still others wide awake and chatting. i chatted with a few 1L girls and then went to look at the boys in the gym, but it was pitch dark and i only stood at the entrance to see that all is well. I also managed to watch the latest episode of bleach. the pupils find it strange that i enjoy anime alot and my favorite character is inuyasha. inu means dog and yasha is spirit. one of the reasons would be that my husband, myself and my daughter are all born in the year of the dog. i find inuyasha very cute, i particularly like his straight forward nature. although he seems rather stupid but he is someone you can trust and depend on. he is always protecting his friends. there may be alot of themes in anime that are not very 'good' with a themes on 'gay' culture, monsters and blurring the line between angel and the devil, but i always like the hero who would be strong just as to protect those that are important. almost always the main character get strength from wanting to protect others. this is most admirable and i wish that more of us can do likewise.
